Yesterday brought a new record high max temp of 24.6°C in Wembury. This beat the previous record of 24.0°C on 21st April 2011. Len Wembury, SW Devon, 83 m asl 19.7C in Penzance. I see that, according to the MetO, Bude was the warmest place in the SW at 24.9C. The wind clearly stayed offshore. That must have felt a bit different to the 11C or so in the sea fog the previous day! Graham Penzance |
