Sunny here in Penzance this morning, but sea fog all along the north coast.
An interesting feature visible on the satellite imagery. Under a northerly the fog can blow across Hayle Saltings, through Marazion Marsh to Mount's Bay (The Lands End peninsula is virtually an island - just a narrow flat area joins it to the rest of Cornwall.) This morning that fog can clearly be seen, the plume of mist continuing SSW across Mount's Bay (Look at the visual satellite e.g http://meteoradar.co.uk/clouds-sun-UK-Ireland ) It's actually drifting each side of the Mount at the moment. Sunny day ahead, but temperatures not far from normal likely here. Warmer tomorrow when we loose the northerly. Newquay will certainly be pleased. Graham Penzance |
