It really doesn't get much worse than this. The fog and drizzle are
unrelenting and the breeze is very raw. The max temp since 0900z is 4.8° and currently (1155z) it's 4.6°. The Cat & Fiddle webcam shows the conditions very well. It's just the same here. http://www.maccinfo.com/Webcam/Webcamn200.jpg -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

Chilly yesterday here Norman with 7.8c just cloud, rain & fog. Today it's dry but very gloomy, the temperature is struggling so far we managed 6.3c! Sure the presenter on Country file told us not to worry it will be an east wind this week but by no means cold, was he having a laugh. Felt really cold walking about today. Graham (Weston Coyney) |

I sympathise with the presenter as they were probably trying to allay fears of a return of the type of weather we've had with easterlies so far this Spring - but I do take your point :-) -- Freddie Ystrad Rhondda 148m AMSL http://www.hosiene.co.uk/weather/ https://twitter.com/YstradRhonddaWx for hourly reports (no wind measurement currently) |

Helped by the fact there was 8 hours of sunshine on 7th, 8th & 9th. Today has been largely cloudy, if bright, but with light winds & humid conditions the maximum of around 14C has felt quite warm despite the cloud. The mean temperature is set to nudge above normal, as it already has in parts of the south. http://www.met.reading.ac.uk/~brugge/anomt.jpg The light winds (for the tip of Cornwall) have been a feature of late.
