Default Penzance - Heavy Snow.

Quite a cover now even right next to the sea
http://www.camsecure.co.uk/newlyn_webcam.html

More snow in Penzance now than on 6th/7th Feb. More than 2015, but not as much as 21st Jan 2013 (yet - but it's working on it!) A long way to go to match Jan & Dec 2010, but still a real novelty after the recent lean years.

Around 5cm has accumulated in an hour. Thunder reported across the Lizard. Temperature, which reached 0.8C earlier is now back down to -1.0C.

We keep losing the power, so this might get posted twice (or not at ll!)

Now basically a blizzard, not a word I've ever used before on USW to describe conditions in Penzance. It's gusting 30mph, the temperature's around -2C, and the snow is heavy. A good 10cm level snow in the garden, but 25cm deep in places. That convergence zone just isn't moving. Basically no snow north of Bodmin & Newquay. The heavy snow in Cornwall mainly, but not entirely, limited on the Lands End & Lizard peninsulas.

Conditions at nearby Bosullow (webcam towards the bottom) http://www.greatbosullow.net/

I'll probably post some photos later.

I suspect that it'll all turn to rain here later tomorrow, today is 'our' day.

Wow, absolutely stunning. https://www.atlanticcottageholidays....m-sennen-cove/ Not even thawing in the sun next to the sea.

I doubt if anyone can get in or out of Sennen currently.

Not something you see very often. Definitely one for you to archive.

Very impressive! But they need to reset their clock. Not only is it 7
minutes fast, but they still appear to be on BST.
