Not sure why midlands today forecaster said there was an amber warning for
snow across Staffordshire as we've managed nothing more that some snow
flurries!
Over hype comes to mind...again.
Just been on the Met office site and they seem to be playing down the chance
of blizzards on Friday now . For this area they are forecasting just
showers till Friday, then dry for the weekend.


Very cold though, at least they managed to get that right

Snow has been mostly light since around 8.30, in the last half hour it's
become slight. Can't see much more heading this way today.
Just over 7cms lying
While some places have a serious threat to life, here it's not too bad. The
wind is bitter but not a lot of snow.
We had much worst weather from the North West winds in December than the
beast from the East!
Just been to do the weekly shopping at Tesco and the main roads are clear,
having said that there is only a few centimetres our side road at the top of
the hill and that was lethal in the snow in December.
Does look like the south west and south Wales are in for a battering later.
