For several decades one source of global SYNOP, METAR and upper air
data has been Florida State University. Suddenly, a few days ago, the relevant pages disappeared from their site. Enquiries have produced the following rather terse response: --------------------------------------- Hello, We have taken down the raw data from our website due it being over harvested which was impacting the function of our web server. At this time no decision has been made if this service will return or under what kind of access policy. Edward Peirce EOAS IT manager --------------------------------------- It looks as though that one has gone. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. https://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |

Or if it was being hacked and it will reappear soon. |
