For the Channel Approaches and English Channel around 100 to 110 hours
out. GFS 0.25 deg outputs, assuming it passes into reality. I've never seen such rapid changes 400 to 1200 DAM back and forth a couple of times in the otherwise normal low dam areas of the projected upper air plots before, near Cornwall. They would seem , as horizontally displaced, associated with the most extreme wind-gust patches in the channel. What feature to look at in model output plots, for sting-jets , as distinct from satellite imagery near enough realtime, so not much use. |
