At about 6.55 am I looked out of the dining area window and saw snow falling. I have had a look out of the lounge window and there is moderate snow falling. The snow has covered the grass at the front, the pavements and the road but has not covered the path as much. The snow has now stopped falling.
The minimum temperature this morning was 0.7 c and is the coldest morning this month. I have not recorded a minimum temperature below freezing but hope to before the end of the month.

Thank you for the snow report Nicholas, but it would be useful to know your location and height above sea level to give the report some context, thanks.

Would help if we knew where you are? Third day of snow
here and about 10cm. in the garden but much more on the hills.
Travel is starting to get difficult.

Oh no! We are being invaded by snowflakes, there's enough already in
this country.

Once I went outside I reckoned there was about 1cm cover. A good start
to the winter season, hopefully a sign of things to come.

Rain showers earlier though, so it's all going very slushy now.

I am at Meir Heath, Stoke-On-Trent and at 250 m above sea level.
Snow had started to fall again, briefly becoming heavier but then became very light and has now stopped. I estimate there is 1 cm of lying snow but I will measure it.

Snow was falling again briefly quite heavy but has stopped again. I have just been out and I estimate that the snow depth is about 0.5 cm but it can be difficult to measure accurately.

Yes, anything less than 1cm I don't even bother measuring, just
referring to it as a 'covering' or just a 'dusting'.

Don't bother measuring! That would be considered a drift down here based
on the last 5 years ;-)
