Light cloud, light but chilly breeze, 2ËšC but dry.

Ideal for a walk while testing the winter coat. It passed.

The sheet ice was easy to see and generally avoid but the black ice on
a tarmac footpath only revealed itself when I found myself auditioning
for come dancing. While I've never seen the programme, I doubt I
qualified.

All good fun nonetheless and better than wasting a day off.
