Mostly cloudy Sunday morning, with sunny intervals. Cloud thickened in the afternoon and light rain started around 1415z. The rain persisted until 2100z, and was moderate in intensity for four hours from 1600z - with occasional heavy bursts between 1830z and 1930z (maximum rate 4.2 mm/hr at 1834z).. A thoroughly wet evening. Surface winds backed from SW'ly to ESE'ly around 1700z, with extensive low cloud forming and spreading across. The low cloud gradually lowered to the surface and it has been foggy for around eight hours now - proper dense hill fog with occasional light drizzle. Minimum overnight temperature was 12.4 (0217z).

I omitted the fact that the rain falling at 0900z became moderate at 0945z for an hour, then gradually petered out by 1115z.

One last report, as it has cleared up so nicely. Last of the very low cloud cleared by 1615z. The stratus then began to fragment. In the past hour the stratus has all but dispersed and there has been some breaks in the stratocumulus above. With such high dew points this may mean more fog overnight. Temperatures continued to rise, finally peaking at 18.6 at 1719z. A reasonable end to a grotty day.
