I have a golf match scheduled for Friday so I decided to have a look this
evening to see what is forecast. The current Peak District forecast paints a pretty awful picture, saying the following: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Perhaps a dry morning, but persistent rain is expected to move eastwards during the day, with initially relatively mild conditions and cloud covering peaks. This should eventually clear eastwards to fresher, brighter conditions late afternoon and perhaps a few scattered showers. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On the other hand, the current automated forecast for Tideswell gives the following precipitation probabilities for Friday: 0700 20% 1000 10% 1300 10% 1600 20% Not very helpful. One forecast says persistent rain while the other gives a 10-20% probability of rain. The forecast might as well say that 'there will be weather'. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org Twitter: @TideswellWeathr |
