The following is from the BBC Scotland Weather Twitter account
------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We've reached 12C in #Kinloss! Exceptionally mild for the time of year. That's double the average for mid-January in Northeast Scotland! ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I despair :-( -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org @TideswellWeathr -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org @TideswellWeathr |

That's nothing we have just lost one: http://www.tropicalstormrisk.com/ that means we are going to get seven |

It is fully controllable by the user as to which feeds he/she sees, so the rubbish is completely avoidable. I was very sceptical until I tried it. Then I realised its potential. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. http://peakdistrictweather.org @TideswellWeathr |

No it is not scientifically correct but since the Kelvin scale is not used amongst the general public, people will know what the statement is trying to say. Communicating with the general public, especially through online media, is not like speaking at a scientific conference or publishing a scientific paper in a high quality journal. |
