Particularly warm along the north coast last night. The prolonged sunshine of late (43 hours in the last 3 days - even over the moors), together with an onshore wind, means that the SST near the beaches is around 20C. (When the tide was coming in over the sand yesterday, it felt positively tepid!)

Today looks set to be the last hot day of the spell here - probably, which pleases me, 20C is just fine - as a maximum rather than a minimum.
