Thanks Keith. In the short-term I'd counsel against reading too much into this, but it fits the pattern of accelerating melt because of GW. Weather patterns in the melt season could reverse this very quickly. However, in the long-term, it is just what you would expect.

Thanks for what Keith?
Posting political claptrap?

In the long term I'd counsel against reading Dawlish's posts -he thinks averages work miracles. It fits the pattern of accelerating melt because the inexplicable. Weather patterns in the melt season could reverse this very quickly in order to maintain averages. However, in the long-term, it is just what you would expect from that naughty carbon dioxide. The insoluble sort, the stuff that trees can't use.

Correct me if I'm missing something but I can't see what politics has got to do with a news report about melting ice, or do some people think nature is left wing?

Heavy going listening to that preposterity. Going over it again, it is like Sarah Palin with much more lipstick. Your lot will clap anything on cue as if there was canned clapping involved. She was a bloody dreadful speaker.
