Default Met Office website forecasts, odd methodology

Here are tomorrow's forecast temperatures for Fareham on the Met
Office website:

http://www.metoffice.gov.uk/public/w...ime=1455580800

Tue 15 Feb - Fareham

Forecast Max 6
Forecast Min 4

Hourly temperatures, 00 GMT to 23 GMT

1 0 0 -1 -1 -1 -2 -2 -1 0 1 3 4 5 6 6 6 5 5 5 4 4 5 5

The minimum forecast is of course for the entire _following_ night.
Friday's forecast minimum looks even more adrift, for the same reason.

For an 'at a glance' forecast like this, most people will I think
expect to see a forecast Tuesday minimum of around -2 and IMO, the Met
Office don't help their image with this kind of anomaly. Or have I
missed something?

Oh dear this problem was pointed out to the relevant team by myself before I
left in 2012. As usual, nothing has been done.

I agree, it is confusing. I have only just spotted this morning. But
then they have ruined a perfectly good website with one that needs
copious clicking and using the mouse wheel every time - ho hum...
