How do they expect to get along with Germans when they can't get along with each other? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Clash breaks out among refugees in Hamburg Police were needed to break up a clash between two large groups of migrants at a Hamburg refugee center. It is one of several incidents suggesting tension among migrants in Germany is rising. Some 50 police officers were deployed to the refugee center in Hamburg-Bergedorf on Thursday, following reports of a fight between two large groups of Syrian and Afghan migrants. More than 200 refugees were involved in the clash, some of whom were injured, a police spokesperson told the German news agency DPA. Reasons for the brawl were unclear, as were the extent of the damage and the number of injuries. It's not the first time such an incident has occurred. Earlier this week, at a refugee center in the German city of Kessel, a massive fight broke out between Pakistani and Albanian migrants that left 14 people injured, according to the AFP news agency. In another incident about a month ago, a Syrian refugee set off a riot in Suhl, Germany, after ripping pages out of a Koran. While such incidents are rare relative to the thousands of people housed in refugee accommodation in Germany, the country's police union called for refugees to be grouped according to religion as a way to avoid violence, according to the AFP. http://www.dw.com/en/clash-breaks-ou...urg/a-18752465 Let the mother****ers starve... ---------------------------------------------------- Iraqi refugees on hunger strike to protest stricter asylum guidelines More than 350 Iraqi asylum seekers lodging at former army barracks in Hennala, Lahti say they plan to go on a hunger strike to protest Finland’s intention to take a harder line on refugees coming from Iraq and Somalia. They are calling on Iraqis in other reception centers to join their protest. The Iraqi asylum seekers say they are embarking on the protest action following immigration authorities' declared intention to introduce stricter criteria for processing asylum applications from Iraq and Somalia. Altogether some 359 Iraqi refugees, who are being accommodated at a former army barracks in Lahti’s Hennala district, say they want Iraqis in other reception centres to follow suit. The Hennala centre also houses some 20 Somali asylum seekers. Immigration officials say they're concerned that Finland's policies are more lenient than those of other EU countries--including neighboring Sweden. http://yle.fi/uutiset/iraqi_refugees...elines/8344387 Eritrean migrant killed in Channel Tunnel French authorities say an Eritrean migrant has been found dead in the tunnel beneath the English Channel, the latest of several killed this year as thousands of people fleeing poverty and war try to cross illegally from France into Britain. The administration for the Pas-de-Calais region says the migrant was apparently hit by a freight train near the entrance to the tunnel in Calais. It said the man was in his 20s and was found alone Wednesday. Eurotunnel, which operates the freight trains, lamented an "accident that unfortunately only confirms that any attempt to cross the Channel illegally carries considerable risks." http://www.businessinsider.com/ap-th...-tunnel-2015-9 --- This email has been checked for viruses by Avast antivirus software. https://www.avast.com/antivirus |
