Default OT Tonights Proms tribute To Sinatra

Looking forward to tonight, although purist feel the Proms should not be sullied by popularist music, Anyhow a documentary beforehand on Sinatra up until the wwii years and the show begins. Wilson's orchestra is very good but in no way can swing technically and in feeling like the 40's and 50's. Bu8t the comes on Seth MacFarlane and he is absolute ****e when compared to the power, phrasing and interpretation of Sinatra, Michael Buble is infinitely better. So why on earth would the BBC showcase this useless piece of dog do dahs. Then the penny drops, check and see what side this man bats for.

I always saw the BBC as the meat and veg of the nations intellectual diet, now its just a vehicle funded by a tax under force of legality where a minority promote their views over the majority. Now if the singer was great or just good I do not give a stuff about their private life, but this idiot is so bad it made one question why he was highlighted and introduced by an American actor who couldn't even remember the name of the band he was introducing? Both choices are now patently obvious. Nope the sooner the BBC losses its license fee the better

You are remarkably coy about the man considering the conclusion you come to. The only thing I could find about him was that he supports gay rights while he himself is straight. Or has he a darker secret such as being yet another closet Aston Villa fan? Do tell us.
This is an OT rant of the first water and shall be awarded maximum points, and points mean prizes - what do points mean? Derailments. And sure enough there you are at the bottom of the embankment with your wheels in the air. Don't do it, Lawrie, at least not here.

I agree Larry, the BBC is biased towards minorities, as if they have the
right to forcefully promote their views over the majority. The sooner
the BBC is closed down the better.

It's all the same to you left wingers, racists, sexists, homophobic,
blah, blah, blah. You sound like an old scratchy 78rpm record.

I can't wait - no more David Attenborough Nature programmes, no more
quality comedy or dramas, no more music, no more scientific or
historical programmes and as much Big Brother, XFactor and TOWIE as you
want. Plus even more people can have their balanced view of the world
formed by the Express and the Mail so we can become even more barbaric
and uncultured and stupid as a nation. And there was me thinking you
were patriotic!

We are talking here about a straight man whose philosophy is not to be beastly to gays. I'd say that is the view of a very substantial minority of men, possibly even a majority, and one that includes that well-known subversive leftie David Cameron, to his credit. (never thought I'd say that). But you'd shut down the BBC for employing such a person. You're a moron and a bloody nuisance as well, as we all know.

Well said, Dave - I agree with every word. Shall we get married? Whoops!

Oh look, here's Mr Off-topic himself coming to the support of his OT chum. How very
predictable.

When I said we had some chemistry going I was referring to our former
analytical background ;-)
