Seemed an okay summer month to me although the stats don't really back

My Davis Vantage Vu has spent most of the month away for repair so can't
give any data. What I can say however is that here in the Isle of Man,
right in the middle of those depressions, July to use a ' technical '
term, has been absolutely ****e. Generally cool/cold, wet and windy with
the odd fair day, reminiscent of those dreadful 60s summers I
experienced as a youngster.

An awful, as in non-existent, summer so far. Looking at the jet stream
projections I've no hope of an improvement either.

I thought the same - my monthly stats suggest average, wet and dull but in reality that was not the case...

What I find strange is that this summer down here I think I have found
more evenings warm that you can sit outside than the past two summers,
yet, July 31st I recorded my coldest July night back to 1971.

You're probably right. What percentage of average sun does it become classed as dull?
