My Davis Vantage Vu has spent most of the month away for repair so can't give any data. What I can say however is that here in the Isle of Man, right in the middle of those depressions, July to use a ' technical ' term, has been absolutely ****e. Generally cool/cold, wet and windy with the odd fair day, reminiscent of those dreadful 60s summers I experienced as a youngster. An awful, as in non-existent, summer so far. Looking at the jet stream projections I've no hope of an improvement either. -- Cheers Jim |

What I find strange is that this summer down here I think I have found more evenings warm that you can sit outside than the past two summers, yet, July 31st I recorded my coldest July night back to 1971. -- Keith (Southend) "Weather Home & Abroad" http://www.southendweather.net Twitter:@LawnscienceEssx |

You're probably right. What percentage of average sun does it become classed as dull?
