I notice a couple of thunderstorms currently in central south coastal
areas, one of which has just passed overhead - lasted about 15 minutes. Nice. Just a couple of mm of rain though to add to the 3mm we had earlier in the evening. 16.4C, max 19.4 today, DP 14.5 light NE wind. -- Dave Fareham (W) |

The 5mm I read was the rainfall rate (oops!) -- Dave Fareham (W) |

A good flash/bang at 8.04 pm but under rather strange conditions. The sky to the NW is bright and there is a patch of blue low down in the SSE. No rain until about 10 minutes later then I'd estimate "trace". A few more weak rumbles 8.10 - 8.20 pm. The wind has dropped out entirely. Tudor Hughes, Warlingham, NE Surrey, 557 ft, 169 m. Not much though in the end, just 16mm. Nice for the garden, however.
