Interesting statistic, Ken. The average (33 yrs) here is 22 April with a standard deviation of 18 days. There has never been a day in June, the latest being 31 May 1983. It can be grim down south :-). It isn't ususally though, the earliest being 17 March 1990. This year's 20 has already occurred (14 April).

Interesting.

I've just had a look at the 11 years of my data and since 2005 the
average first date that 20C had been reached was the 12th April.

In those 11 years the earliest was the 25th March 2011 (20.4C).

Caveats to this: moved to present site in 2011 which is 6km nearer the
sea but in the same valley at similar height amsl.

20C has already been reached this year on the 6th April with 21.0C.

Just to add that the latest 20C was the 14th May 2014, and that was very
unusual as nearly all the first 20C days occur early/mid April.

That's quite impressive for your altitude so early in the year.
