After a clear but frosty start with dark smoke from a fire a few junctions up the M1 slowly a longway along what appeared to be an otherwise unseen inversion. After a sunny morning some Cu started to build to the NW and gradually spread across to give what could be described as sunshine and showers of a sort with large Cu and extensive virga but nothing making it to the ground. Even a bright rainbow visable around 7pm. I guess the air is very dry at ground level as is my garden as the showers on Satuarday missed my location and the cold front just increased the dewpoint and reduced the visability for a short time.
