Well, at least for a day. Around lunchtime, in sunshine and very light winds, the dizzy temperature heights of 14C were achieved! Glorious for a time, but there's 8/8 cloud now and a freshening wind, but it's still 13C.
All due to a warm sector and a stable WNW airflow descending from Dartmoor and thence the Haldon Hills. I drove over Haldon in spots of light drizzle and 8/8 cloud at lunchtime. For us, weather very typical of our special microclimate - fohn conditions producing a springlike day. |
