Whoever it was, they were patronising in the extreme.

Conservatism to me has always been (depending on the flavour) anything from extremist religious fundamentalism penny-pinching spending cuts, or picking on some minority group in society and blaming them for all of society's ills.

The suggestion that you have to be a conservative by the time you're a "fully grown up" adult is quite frankly absurd. I can see little good in conservatism of any flavour.

I've learnt over the years that the liberals are anything BUT liberal.
They force their views and beliefs upon the public through laws and
changing the mind set of the public. The liberals hate any criticism of
their dogma.

The labour party was taken over by the middle class liberals in the
1990's they hate the proletariat, they see them as sexist, racist,
homophobic and lastly that great and ubiquitous term to keep people in
line, they see the proletariat has bigoted.

Conservatism favours freedom of speech and expression. The liberals
would say a person wouldn’t shout fire in a cinema. Yet that is a life
and death situation. Nobodies life are in danger when saying or singing
insulting words or songs.

ISTM those are actually false-flag 'liberals'. I doubt they have any
conception of what the term originally meant!

But in rejecting a significant proportion of the electorate as 'the
great unwashed proletariat', not only are they insulting them by
effectively saying their views don't matter, but potentially driving
them into the arms of even more unscrupulous political groups.

Freedom of speech necessarily includes the freedom to be offensive.

Precisely!
I have no particular wish to insult the Prophet Mohammed but I most certainly should have the right to do so.

It would be appreciated if you could take this discussion elsewhere. It
has
nothing whatsoever to do with the weather.

Seconded. My killfile is bulging once more :-(
