uk.sci.weather (UK Weather) (uk.sci.weather) For the discussion of daily weather events, chiefly affecting the UK and adjacent parts of Europe, both past and predicted. The discussion is open to all, but contributions on a practical scientific level are encouraged.

Default Simulation of surface processes

Here we find an abstract diagramme of Antarctica when there is a volcanic seizure signalled there. It closely resembles the effect of a large flow of wet air from the River Plate (in the bottom left hand corner.) The rain clouds develop into three large cyclones as they cross the bottom of the Atlantic and get to Africa -which supplies another downpour.

At the centre is Antarctica and on the other side in the top right hand is Australia with an attendant Pacific cyclone rolling off the eastern coast past Tasmania. And the attendant minor cyclones; spin-offs that are the precursors to either Tornado activity in higher latitudes or volcanic events registering on the VEI scale in the Ring of Fire.

No?
No. It is a computed simulation of atomic energy levels from an article in a science magazine posted in 2011 and based on research made in 2009.

Nice how it all fits though, isn't it?
I am a great believer in planned creation and fractal systems. Oddly the word "Chaos" seems a little OTT in these cases.

Now then, children. Back to sleep. (Not you Dawlish, don't worry your empty head over it, dear.)
