Yes I don't like the use of that word too, it seems everything nowadays is stunning.

Mind you, there are plenty of phrases used by TV weather presenters that irk me, like Carol Kirkwood's "we are lookin

And David Braines "great mass of cloud", which I think originated with Bill Giles, as did "not amounting to very much" and "F in fog". "Increasing amounts of cloud" seems to be in vogue at the moment, whatever happened to "turning cloudy"? A good one that David B seems to like is " a lot of clear skies tonight", and also "some of the white stuff", snow is obviously now seriously out of favour.

I could go on, but the tablets seem to be taking effect now, and hopefully I'll feel a little better after a short nap.

My wife did that once when she was younger. She suffered from post nasal
depression afterwards.

Oh for the old days with Craig Rich, he was something of a legend in the surfing community as the only weather presenter who had a clue what he was talking about when it came to surf forecasts.

'Flat as a dish on both coasts, leave the board at home' from Craig, and chances are it would be flat. I met him once when I worked at Isle of Scilly Steamship Co, he wanted to use our fax machine. No chance as equating local wind with swell from him.

I think you'll find that when you are most stunned, you don't remember.

You may still be suffering from the effects of that collision Larry.
AGW and all that.
You ought to use the NHS.
Trust me. I'm a doctor.

I was more taken aback at the rude nickname Lawrence had for his
ladyfriend at the time. I hope you both recovered nonetheless.
