Default **Forecast** Zonal Atlantic weather at T+240 on 18th Dec.

The Atlantic in full spate.

**Impossible to tell exactly which aspect of Atlantic weather will be affecting the UK at 10 days, but the zonal train will be running hard by then.**

It will be only a week before Christmas at outcome, for this forecast and once this pattern is established, it could be hard to break.

Cold zonal (as now) or mild zonal?
Impossible to tell fair enough, but to claim a correct forecast
I think you have to nail down the weather type more precisely
than a vague 'zonal', given the very varied conditions that term implies.

Don't ask that idiot. He thinks mild Zonal is a toilet disinfectant and he probably drinks the stuff as its patently clear he is clean round the bend.

But not your belief that "my enemy's enemy is my friend", no matter how much of an idiot he may be. 👌

It will be Zonal Atlantic weather, Col. I'd give that forecast an 80% chance of being correct. It does imply varied conditions and the weather on the 10th could well be coming at us from the SW, or the NW; cold, or mild. It could also be raining, frosty, cloudy, sunny, foggy, even snow showers, depending upon which sector of a depression is being experienced in which part of the UK. That's why I said it is 'impossible to tell' in my forecast. *))

Thing is, jusrt saying 'zonal' covers so many different possibilities
(You even listed them yourself) that as a forecast it's pretty useless
as it's so broad. You might as well say that there will be some weather
on the 18th
Still, it's your rules.....

Default **Forecast** Zonal Atlantic weather at T+240 on 18th Dec.

What it really says, is that it won't be weather from any other source region, apart from mP and mT and the source will, in consequence, be the Atlantic.

Indeed buy those are two very zirmasses with very different weather
conditions.
If you can't resolove the two to your 80% confidence level then I'm not sure
you can really claim a sucess if one or the other ocurrs.

You say elsewhere that many of your other forecasts are more specific
than this and I would most certainly agree. That is why I am surprised
you chose to be so vague.

Anywhay, I'll leave it at that for now and we will see what happens

To be honest I'd rather know that it could be any one of those with a
degree of accuracy than a forecast like Corbyn which are very specific
but totally wrong. This will be wrong if there is HP, an Easterly, snow
fall etc. It is what it is and we discuss how useful or not it is with
each issue.
Of the "amateurs" I find Martin Gibb's daily appraisal by far the most
comprehensive and thoughtful with no obvious bias toward warm or cold.
