Default [WR] Otter Valley, Devon - Proper Summer Weather Returns

Proper summer weather today:

Minimum = 11.6C
Maximum = 20.6C
Rain = 0.0 mm
Sunshine = +9.0 hours.
Maximum UV = 6.1.
Monthly sunshine total = 156 hours.

Dewpoints returned to double figures with a maximum of 13.1C.

Cloudy(ish) early to mid-morning, cleared afterwards to sunny intervals.
Sunshine virtually unbroken all afternoon. Lovely and warm down on our
sheltered beach where that NW breeze didn't blow.

Suntan topped up nicely.

No rain since the 14th and with the low humidity of recent days,
soil/garden is well and truly dry again.

Lovely sunny afternoon & evening here, but a bit of a breeze and the maximum was just 18.1C, temperature also fell back steadily after 16:00 to around 15C by 19:00. A very big difference in the 'feel' between the sun and shade.

Still, everything looked great in the excellent visibility & deep blue sky.
Approx 19:00 http://www.sennen-cove.com/today2.htm

Much less cold night last night, minimum 12.0C

A cool but sunny month. It'll probably end up about the 4th coolest August in the last 23 years.

Miserable here but missed most of the showers. 14.?, not checked the max after yesterdays 13.7.
Only 7.5 last night so a bit warmer, but already below that.
If we don't get some warmth soon it's going to be a very long winter.

DM. Yorkshire Wolds.
