11.6mm (0.46") of rain since 18z yesterday has done wonders to my
garden. Brightened up now, but more showers possibly on the way. -- Keith (Southend) "Weather Home & Abroad" http://www.southendweather.net Twitter:@LawnscienceEssx |

That's what I thought five days ago when we had the last measurable rain, more on the way. But since then, nothing (well a trace this morning), for the 9th. day this month. Very similar to June really, the pleasant, warm and mainly dry summer continues. Not too hot, not too cool, perfection! -- Dave Fareham |

Could summer 2014 become known as the 'Goldilocks' summer? =================================== Hmm, not here in East Cambs, I don't think - 93mm rainfall already this month at the office location (admittedly 55mm of which was last Tuesday evening) and not yet halfway through the month. Some of the wheat and barley is looking decidedly sorry for itself, short straw notwithstanding. JGD |
