There's certainly a strong downward trend in monthly values but overlaid with very significant randomness due to the variable Arctic weather between now and 2-3 months hence. You might just as well try to guess Tmax for London on eg 24th Sept. Can't honestly see there's much fun in that? I did hear someone or a group who claimed to have found a way of estimating what the minimum would be based on the amount of melt water on the ice at the end of Spring or early summer. Can't recall where I heard this. |
