gusts to just under 30 knots. Upper layers of cloud started to increase
after 1330z, and the lower cloud layers have filled in during the past
hour. Quite gloomy now. Pressure falling quite quickly. Mild, with
the top temperature so far today reaching 10.1 (1318z).

A very unsettled evening, with strong winds and rain that is bordering
on heavy. Pressure is still falling like the clappers, and I see from
latest reports that there are gusts 55-65 knots in western parts of
Wales. The cold front has gone through Milford Haven at 1800z, so is
still on course to cross my location some time between 1900z and 2000z.
I anticipate gusts here to 50-55 knots immediately on the front as the
wind veers more westerly and I lose the shelter of the Long Mynd range
to my south. I'm off to tie the wheelie bins down!
