To be fair Jim it is mild but in no way does that reflect that the whole NH is mild only in our very small neck of the woods. I mean the USA is having a frigid time of it.

Lovely red sky as I type the Greygate must look beguiling.

When is the Christmas get together?

It refers to the case where the weather feels unusually mild, maybe up
to the point where you don't feel the need for a coat outside. This
tends to happen when we have a rare combination of a mild air mass and
sunshine, the combination of which will "feel like" spring, which is not
the same as saying it is spring.

It is no different from using the term "hurricane force winds" despite
the fact that the UK is not in the tropical regions and thus does not
experience hurricanes.

It is also technically impossible to put a curse on the weather or a
season. The weather does what it does, independent of what we want or
what we say.
