Thunderstorm movd ENE just to the south of Penzance 16:30-17:00. Plenty of rumbles in Penzance, but nothing close & 1mm of rain. Inpressively black sky contrasting with the blue to the NW. Looked to be crossing the Lizard, anything much in Stithians?
Looks like more brewing to the SW. Until this point a decent day, good sunny spells. Max of 21.0C in Penzance, 21.8C in St Ives, 20.8C at Land's End and around 21C on St. Mary's. Last nights minimum in Penzance - 17.6C Graham Penzance |

Got into Falmouth and the roads were awash. Got our fish and chips and took them up onto Pendennis Point and the heavens opened. Much thunder and lightning and heavy rain which lasted a good 30 minutes. Back home to Stithians to find that there hadn't been enough rainfall to trouble my TBR rainometer. Looks like more brewing to the SW. Doesn't look very healthy on www.raintoday.co.uk -- MCC |

Sudden squall & a sharp drop in temperature. Both of which show up well at the Land's End site http://www.landsendweather.info/ (click 'here') All clearing now, I think. Graham |
