Default [WR] Laindon, S.Essex, New record max temp

At least since my records began in 2007. 34.4C and a breeze!
Amazingly still 32C at 7 pm in fairly thick cloud. Positively Singapore
like.

No record here - that was last Monday when it reached 34C. 33.6C today.
I wonder about how representative that probe at Heathrow is - it is a full degree warmer than St James's Park and Northholt. Shades of Brogdale again?

I think you are maybe sometimes asking a bit too much from these
stations Scott. 1C is nothing over a few miles, taking into account all
the other variables that can affect temperature. In fact when I look at
all the amateur stations around us I am amazed how good the comparisons
are and unshielded ones stand out like a sore thumb.
