Dry for much of the time but there was a brief torrential shower around 1400z with a max rate of 85 mm/hr between bucket tips. Last night's deluge has left a lot of mud and gravel on roads in the area, and in some places a scattering of pebbles up to tennis ball size. I haven't heard of any flooding in Tideswell but several houses were flooded in Stoney Middleton a few miles away on the A623 Chesterfield Road. Max temp 20.1 Stop Press: As I type this at 1620z thunder is banging away from a Cb to the south. -- Norman Lynagh Tideswell, Derbyshire 303m a.s.l. |
