Heavy rain with occasional thunder/lightning since 1930z. The Davis VP give a
total for the 2 hours of 30 mm so the actual total in the 5" gauge is likely to be something around 35 mm or a little higher. The radar suggests there's a lot more to come. We often seem to get this horseshoe effect as systems pass over London, with a much reduced rainfall amount immediately to the East. Whether a 100 square mile concrete heat island can do that I wouldn't know. Dave |
