A totally different sort of day yesterday with low cloud, hill mist and some sea fog. Temperatures were virtually the same everywhere down here, with the max between 20 & 21C at St Ives, Land's End, St Mary's & Penzance, not far from the 18-19C SST.
It was very unusual with the lack of sun (until late afternoon) such high humidity, and both the air & sea temperature (over some beaches) near 20C, there was no shock of contrasting temperatures going into the sea. Still flat http://www.sennen-cove.com/todaysurf.htm No rain here last night. Minimum temperature 17.3C. Currently (10:15) 20.2C with sunny spells. Fairly harmless looking broken Sc over the sea http://www.landsendweather.info/ - the cliffs are now brown. It's going to be one of those days for warm sunshine on windward coasts, and rapidly developing Cu just behind. Very pleasant actually, with good visibility Graham Penzance |
