Looks set to be the hottest day of the spell so far.

No sea breeze in Penzance still. This is not down to an offshore gradient wind cancelling it out, as it was calm @ 09:00, and has remained near calm. The stability of the air plays a bigger part here than in most coastal districts.

Somehere like Plymouth the sea breeze can amble up the Tamar with little to stop it, it has no urgency to ascend. Here it can only get 2 or 3 miles when it meets the sea breeze off the north coast, so the only way is up, not possible under very stable comditions.

You can get an interesting cycle at Marazion, where only very low land & 4 miles separates it from St Ives Bay near Hayle on the north coast. Because the south coast heats quickest in the morning you typically get an onshore SSW sea breeze blowing across the marshes towards Hayle Saltings on the the north coast. Then around mid afternoon when there's maximum heating on the NW facing north coast, the breeze abruptly reverses direction. This offshore late afternoon breeze is often the strongest.
