Default 8th morning in a row woken up to snow falling. Aberfeldy

Snowing as normal this morning. Light and steady. Snow remains from yesterday in shade. This is the 8th morning in a row and its been snowing at breakfast and almost constantly from Thursday last week - albeit light and fairly insignificantly.

Down on the valley floor (300 feet asl or so) its not - its patchy and melting. We had a good shower of pellets just gone that laid down a covering but that has melted again. After about 4pm all that falls stays and I expect another 2 cm when i awake tomorrow, that seems to be the pattern over the last week. Take a trip up the hill another 700 feet and its a different kettle of fish with drifting.

At the other end of the country, we've still got snow in the garden, icicles hanging from the gutters and slush on the pavements.

I notice the UKMO chart for T+120 still has us all in sub-528 dam air. It feels as though I've suddenly moved 250 miles north, 600' in altitude and 40 years back in time.

Mind you, Easter often was a miserable Bank Holiday, weatherwise.
