Default Rain gauge wanted

Can anyone recommend a simple rain gauge?

I thought of the Oregon Scientific RGR122 Remote Rain Gauge, but I may
have trouble as I already have thermometers using up the three
available channels. Are there any other recommended remote gauges?

Having said this, there is a lot to be said for a simple measuring
gauge. However I can't see my good lady wife being too happy about £70
for a copper one!

Thanks

Douglas

Hi Douglas,
just pop along to your nearest garden center and pick up one of those
conical shaped plastic ones with a spike at the base for about £3-5. That is what I
use.

I took one of those to America, was £4.79 I think from Wyedales,
unfortunately on the last week the motorised lawn mowing people took it
out, but this was always the risk, not to mention getting through Gatwick
baggage handling!
