Default Davis WeatherLink website - Java

My little website - www.weather.johnwnice.co.uk - has been running well
for months. Earlier this week I noticed the ticker had stopped. The error
message was ClassNotFoundException and the detail showed davisticker.class
The problem was due to my upgrading Java to version 7. I've reverted to J.6
and all's well again, but 7 supposedly removes some vulnerabilities. Has
anyone else, hopefully more Java-savvy than I, spotted this, and if so is
there a simple fix?

TIA

John

I've not seen this reported previously. The auto-update to v7 has, I think,
only just recently happened and so Davis probably haven't had a chance to
pick this up yet. You could try emailing Davis direct (
supportATdavisnet.com ) for comments. If I hear anything I'll post back
here.

I had to remove my ticker because it stopped working after upgrading.
That was about two months ago.

It's definitely down to Java 7. I'm back on 6 now and no bother. I'm
waiting for a reply from Davis.
