Not this one :-) Today was another day of not being too hot, with a gentle
breeze. perfect cycling weather in fact. More please!

They've been saying that all week - 'cold front moving south'. Except
it's never got this far south!

But yes, while today was almost perfect (about 2°C too warm for my
liking!), I do prefer the cooler weather. It's definately not rained
here for over a week now - I've hardly seen a cloud even since I moved
back down here eight days ago.

Not at all.... a summer filled of BBQ's with friends, dinner al fresco with
the girlfriend and endless sleepless nights...with the girlfriend ;-)

I do miss though seeing our green and pleasant land, brown and pleasant just
doesn't sound right does it? :-)

Well, not me, for a start. And the dryness means I hardly ever have to
cut the grass, which is great. Also my cat likes it, stretching out and having
a nice wriggle in the dusty soil.

I am pleased it was still warm when I returned from a holiday in SW
France with daytime temperatures around 30°C .

The main requirement here is for rain; we have lost a considerable
number of plants in the garden as a result of drought which has not
happened before including the summer of 1976. The forecast is not
optimistic.
