Tideswell, Derbyshire - Monday 9th April 2012

RMK: It must be Bank Holiday Monday - grey and wet! Cold front
went through at about 0830z with max rain rate of 11 mm/hr.
Snow drifts have shrunk a lot since yesterday but there's still
many of them. I should think most, if not all of them will be
gone by tomorrow.
09-09z: Tx 9.7 (1115z) Tn 5.9 (0435z) RR 11.3
18-09z: Tg 5.4 00-24z: Sun nil

RMK: A traditional Bank Holiday Monday - relentless rain! It has been
raining continuously since about 2100z yesterday evening and it
has often been moderate since 0200z today. There's been about 7mm
since 0900z, taking the total for the event to about 18mm. The
total for April to date is 52mm so there's no drought here. Sunshine
has been in very short supply with only 17.7 hours so far this month, and
10.6 hours of that came on the 1st. Max temp today 8.7
