I can honestly say that I'm still waiting with anticipation for the first whiff of a BBQ to herald in the summer. I can't say that the smell of BBQ's bothers me, in fact, I'm quite looking forward to having the first BBQ of the summer. However, a BBQ is a bit like a home-cooked rice pudding... if you've never had one for a while, it can be something to really get your taste buds going, but you don't find yourself wanting another rice-pudding (or BBQ) for a good while afterwards. Also, trying to recreate your convenient kitchen in the great outdoors is not everything it's cracked up to be.
Meanwhile, it's been back to work today when really I should have thrown in a sicky and rested in the garden! Another glorious day, definately warmer here on the fringes of the North Sea than yesterday.
