Max. -0.8C in sunny skies.
Now at 1700 it is more cloudy with temperature tumbling away at -3.1C. DP -5.1C. Bar 1040.7 hPa steady. Naff all wind from the ENE. All surfaces bone dry, frozen solid and snow-free. Going to be interesting on Friday close to the warm front wave. Snow or freezing rain, it just depends. Key difference from last weekend is that there is no driving low near Iceland just flabby waves, not being analysed very well by models at present, so I do not think it will extend as far east as last time. I stick by what I said in my assessment yesterday. For me it's looking like a wet-bulb freezing level of 500 metres asl, which will suit me just fine. But if the front does move further east it will go up to 1200 metres giving rain and fog. Ho hum, we'll see :-) http://www.lyneside.demon.co.uk/Hayt...antage_Pro.htm Will Hand (Haytor, Devon, 1017 feet asl) --------------------------------------------- |
