for walking over still quite frozen ground with patchy ice.

Aye, it was a nice sort of day down 'ere. A max of 8.9°C, dry and 3.4
hours of sunshine.

With barely a breeze, it was a good day to be out 'n' about.

No frozen ground or ice down these parts.

Saw violets and celandines in flower in the more sheltered parts of the
Otter Valley today. Native daffs are up and in bud, and I saw a hawthorn
with leaf burst. Well, not long to March.

A cool evening with broken cloud.
