I'm amazed just how much snow has fallen in Staffordshire, I was only
expecting a couple of cms! I was going to Norfolk today for the weekend but cancelled thinking all the snow would be there and I wouldn't be able to get back tomorrow. Snow turned a bit sleety just before it stopped around 21.30 Current temp here -0.2c Graham (North Staffs) |

We've had 5 1/2 inches of snow. I was surprised the Stoke match against Sunderland wasn't abandoned, most of the match was played in a blizzard. Joe Egginton Wolverhamtpon 175m ASL |

Joe Egginton Wolverhamtpon 175m ASL As a long time Sunderland fan I'm grateful it wasn't. I think it probably looked worse on the TV than in reality. I'm surprised they didn't use a proper orange ball. Mind you I did try, at half time, to find out the regulations on abandoned games and scores. Most of the info is related to betting - which says much about professional sport these days. -- George in Epping, West Essex www.eppingweather.co.uk www.winter1947.co.uk CWOP at http://weather.gladstonefamily.net/site/C4752 |
