A max today of 24.9°C making it the warmest day I have recorded for so
late a date in the year. It was quite a warm start to the day too with an overnight low of 14.8°C. Unbroken sunshine all day, with the sunshine recorder switching on at 07:25 and turning off at 18:48 giving 11 hours and 23 minutes, this is 96% of the total possible. Today was only the 3rd day this month with uninterrupted sunshine. Total now for September stands at 142 hours. With DPs of around 16°C to 17°C, it made the day feel quite humid. Current SST in Lyme Bay around 17°C, and may even rise a little over the next few days. This month will definitely end with temperatures well above the average. A clear, humid evening. (19:40), 18.4°C, RH 80%, DP 14.3°C, 1022 hPa (F), Wind 5 mph SE. ____________________________ Nick G Otter Valley, Devon 83 m amsl http://www.ottervalley.co.uk |
