"Ilsington" mentioned it a few weeks back. The gfs is always hyper-active as
regards low pressure. If a change to mild and wet and deep lows then GFS
will get it often as it is biased that way. A change to blocking and high
pressure and it will struggle. Again people need to know model biases when
they are interpreting models. It's like any other profession, you have to
know what you are doing!
