Friday's low a also nice example of a Shapiro-Keyser development, too -
the 15-minute Meteosat imagery on Weatheronline had a great cloud head
emerging over Ireland which no doubt gave some pretty heavy rain.

Thanks Jon for the update to what I acknowledge wasn't originally a 'forecast' but a heads-up on what some model runs were showing at the time.

There was torrential rain for a time close to Bray County Wicklow, where I live, with some damaging flooding reported in areas.

The following report has a photograph of where a large section of footpath collapsed. Thankfully noone injured!

Friday was NOT a nice day!!!
