As the front went through about 1430 this afternoon the light rain
turned first to hail and then sleet. Second time this half of the
year that the precipitation has been white rather than wet. About 5
degrees came off the temperature as well down to about 4C. It has
warmed up to 6C now.

It came through here just before 1600z with a short burst of heavy hail and a
single flash/bang thunderstorm. The temp fell only to 5.5 so no sleet here,
though I did look at the velux window when the rain was heaviest :-)

Came through SE London abot 16:20 and I'm convinced there was hail or sleet
in the mix . Nice temp drop as well down to 8c on the drive home and suspect
a tad lower now.

Sleet showers here around 5 pm today, and the car thermometer
went down to 4.5. It may have gone down further, but I didn't
notice as I was concentrating on traffic.

Our max today was 9.5C and that didn't last long. Currently -0.4C.
